Some End of the Year Burbles

A very huge, squishy thank you to everyone who arduously trudged to the post office, abandoned any ounce of dignity whilst flailing franticly on the ice, entertained me during dinner, allowed the balls to break all rules of physics so that I could win at pool, or simply remembered the day. I almost didn’t even mind turning another year older this year. Almost.

I hope everyone’s Christmas is Happy, New Year Lovely and holidays in general wonderful.

I honestly miss snowy New York. It doesn’t feel remotely Christmassy in Japan with the temperatures hitting 50F. So, I’m off to Beijing where the current temperature is 24F (5C for you backwards international people). It’s predicted to be -3 when I arrive. Score!

And here are some appropriately seasonal Christmassy Calvin and Hobbes’ for you to enjoy in my absence. Many stories to come about Beijing, terra cotta warriors, counterfeit everything, peking duck, tibetan monks, yaks, yogurt, little red books, highway robbery and all things remotely Chinesey.

Cheers!
