It's back! And better than ever.

This was a seriously great read. I like the way you've now eased your blog back home by starting the post off in Japan and segueing to NY.

Favourite line: "scenic view of his bits." Nice.

the subways of ny. once, while working a job at a law firm, one of the crusty partners had to get to some gala (carnegie hall?) and was late. the office ladies insisted that he'd never get there on time in his private car or in a taxi. his only option was the subway. he grumbled, "i haven't taken the subway in 40 years." I kind of like the subway - it's cheap and convenient. So I ask him why he doesn't like the subway. his answer: "i have no problems with traveling on a public conveyance...it's the public i have until today successfully avoided."

how long did it take you to get a slice of pizza once you got home?

told you, we prefer the new york stories to the japan stories.

well i prefer them at least. more chaos, more randomness, more excitement.

thats what real life is about.

"The windows ajar, the clatter of the rails is overwhelming and my tender ears, long spoiled from the quiet solitude of the countryside, curl up inside themselves begging for sweet release."

That's really poetry darling.
